Julia and CameronYesterday was our first play date with Cameron and Julia.  I thought it’d be nice to document the gathering with a photo, and had no idea how hard it would be to get three little kids to look at the camera at the same time.

Today we went to the zoo with Alisa.  After a few trips to the zoo, today we finally got to the kids section with a petting zoo and a giant “pizza garden” where the kids can climb on a huge pizza.  Joseph got to pet a goat, was very excited to see cows and donkeys, and loved the pizza garden.  The weather was perfect.  In this picture with Alisa he is sitting on a big tomato.

AlisaWe have a book of photos of friends and family that Joseph pulled out yesterday.  It includes a picture of Adam, Renee, Alisa, and Julia.  All day yesterday and this morning Joseph was saying Renee (“Nee”) and Julia (“Ulya”) and today he was saying Alisa (“Isa”) over and over, before we saw her and especially after we left.

Joseph woke up at around 4:45 this morning – extremely rare these days for him not to sleep through the night.  He sounded pretty upset and it took two trips into his room to soothe him enough to get him to go back to sleep.  We have been speculating that he might have molars coming in, since he seems to be putting his hands into his mouth a lot more recently.  This morning when he finally woke up after 8:00 -much later than usual probably because of the poor night’s sleep – the first thing he said when I walked into his room was “teeth.”  So maybe there is something going on.  I managed to get him to let me feel around back there (by letting him put his fingers in my mouth) and couldn’t see or feel anything.
